Rick has an extensive background in the logistics and transportation field. Upon completion of his military career with the United States Navy where he served for six years with distinction – he joined the services of United Parcel Service. His stellar career of 20 years with one of the most prolific transportation carriers was the base and foundation of his transportation experience. With U.P.S. he did it the old fashion way and worked his way up from part time inside worker to driver to supervisor to manager and into the executive ranks. He quickly rose through the ranks as the premier Hub Manager and was asked to open up major hubs throughout the U.S. and ultimately opened up Canada for U.P.S. Once retired with 20 years experience at U.P.S. – Rick was asked to join the FROM2.COM team. A cutting edge DOT.COM which was venturing into uncharted waters of landed cost calculations over the Internet. As Vice President of Operations FROM2 quickly became the front runner in the evolving new space which has become a mainstay in our present transportation culture giving multiple user Internet transactions connecting countries and making logistic moves appear to be seamless and transparent. Much of today’s present landed cost formulation and technology was developed by the FROM2 staff. Moving on to try his hand in the Airlines Transportation Industry – Rick was asked to be Vice President of Transportation of Lan Chiles’ Airlines - Lan Logistic. Lan Chile the premier Airline of choice in the Southern Hemisphere balance of cargo and passenger were clear indicators which had the merit to make Lan one of the formidable integrator in the Latin American region. Rick’s experience quickly moved Lan into a new arena making it amongst the most diverse cargo, small package and mail providers dominating the region and catapulting Lan as the provider of choice even over some of the larger more dominating U.S. companies because of its depth and breadth and it’s segments which services all of Latin America. Once the challenges had been met and mastered in Latin America it brought Rick back to his domestic roots and passion small package operations.
Forming his own company was always his dream – and he made his dream a reality. Forming a company which would satisfy the needs of the consumer while optimize transportation budgets and filling the gaps of customer service that the large companies fail to meet because of their size and lack of focus on customer needs. Evolved into the present RnL Enterprise. LLC; with it’s web-base proprietary software, rate management solutions which allow for customized solutions making the small to medium companies as versed as its largest rival, single sourced invoicing allowing the customer to customize the billing process and streamlining the process electronically for easy of use, its customer service recovery initiatives cutting the layers of red tape and giving both the consignee and shipper their desired results efficiently and proactively and all of this at a significant reduction in the cost of their present transportation needs went from vision to reality.
Rick is the proud parent of 14 year old triplet’s two girls and a boy with the newest addition to the family his 7 year old son. He is happily married to Lyne his wife of 21 years.
